1. How comfortable are you as a leader in a mature organization?
The mature stage of a business need not be a time of complacency or a time when a culture becomes mired in “the same old way” of doing things. If leadership is actively participating in the business, then new ideas will continue challenge the organization so complacency doesn’t set it. I see the mature stage of a business not as a time to reward everyone for a job well done, but instead a greater focus is needed to continually renew the markets and competition for any necessary adjustments the business leadership might need to implement. I’ve heard from several reliable sources, including my coach, the mature stage of a company is the hardest to lead.
Therefore, to answer the original question, I believe I could find enough challenge in the mature stage of a company to find myself tasked with monitoring the business strategy and making necessary adjustments in the business course.
